Worshift Into the New Year: Dive Deep in 2025

As we approach the conclusion of 2024, the weight of expectations and the chaos of life can often feel overwhelming. But amidst the tempest, there is a serene oasis waiting to be discovered. It’s a place of peace, purpose, and profound connection with the Divine.

To say that 2024 was a challenging year would be an understatement. We've had to survive wildfires, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and tornadoes. Some of us experience the loss of loved ones. There has been pain, agony, grief, sadness, misery, despair, and doubt. As we reach the end of the year, I want you to list everything you survived, and every challenge you overcame. Acknowledging how God kept you through it all (Worship), begin to thank him for his generosity, grace, and mercy (Praise) and release every feeling/emotion that was listed earlier (Shift). Realize that is behind you now. Lift up your head and embrace the future.

God as Your Shelter and Secret Place

Psalm 32:7 says that God is a “hiding place” and "preservation from trouble". He is our safe haven, our secret place where we can find solace and strength. Psalm 91:1-2 paints a vivid picture of God as our dwelling place: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will find rest under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Imagine diving into the ocean. As you descend deeper, the noise and chaos of the surface world fade away. The water becomes quieter, the pressure increases, and the world above seems distant and irrelevant. This is a beautiful comparison of the peace and clarity that can be found when we dive deep into our relationship with God.

In the depths of our search, we can find a quietness and stillness that allows us to hear His voice more clearly. We can uncover hidden mysteries, treasures of wisdom, love, and purpose that have been waiting for us. The deeper we dive, the more we discover about who we are and who God has designed us to be.

As we continue our spiritual journey in 2025, let us commit to diving deeper into our relationship with God. Spend time in His Word, seeking His guidance and wisdom. Continue to develop a daily practice of Worshift, creating a sacred space for intimacy with the Divine.

Remember, the deeper you dive, the more treasures you will uncover. So let us plunge deep into the ocean of God, seeking the riches of his love and grace. May we emerge from this journey renewed, refreshed, and empowered to live as the people God has called us to be.

Always,

Worshift
